Steven McKenzie, “Djay Smoove 4EvaHype” was born in London and later migrated to the Caribbean Island of Dominica; The Nature Isle Of The Caribbean.
Presently, Djay Smoove 4EvaHype lives and Deejay’s in the Nature Island of Dominica. He is best known for fusing his london-influenced style with the Caribbean-vibe. Through challenges and setbacks due to lack of popularity and exposure, Djay Smoove 4EvaHype managed to mix and produce multiple mixtapes while under the expertise of Graphics Music store – Musical Headquarters Of the Nature Island. His Mixes features host multiple genres to include Soca, Bouyon, Dancehall, and Hip Hop & R&B

A Journey In Time
Early Life
Djay Smoove 4EvaHype’s musical interest was influenced by his father’s passion in House Partys music. At age 14, Djay Smoove 4EvaHype participated in the Majestic Sounds tournament, ultimately winning 1st place in the DJ-competition. He then performed 4 years consecutively at the second largest ‘Street Party’ in the world ‘London’s Notting Hill Carnival’. As his interest grew, he moved on to perform solo acts within numerous clubs around London.
In 1999, DJay Smoove 4EvaHype moved from London and settled in Dominica, in search of adding more Isle-influenced sounds to his culturistic vibe. It was here where he honed his craft and developed his passion of music mastery.
The Evolution
Acquiring residency while making his debut at the number one club in the Isle, Q Club – today better known as Tantra – DJay Smoove 4EvaHype soon became a household name in St Maarten/Saint Martin – performing and collaborating alongside the best Deejays in the Caribbeans.
Later on, he then began work with St. Martin’s best, the legendary Cut Master (Godfather) Dj Sheff, and then joined the Associated Sounds.
Also acquiring residency at The world Famous Sunset Beach Bar.
2 week tour to Holland with Associated Sounds @ Da Goodness hollands best Urban Party & Jamrock International amstadam’s Number one reggae & dancehall Party.
Moved Back To Dominica worked with Kairi FM, after leaving aquired a Prime Time Show On Vibes Radio The Champion Station (still holds this position) Then became an Official Dj For the W.C.M.F World Creole Music Festival, Following Residencies R.O.T.B Reggae On The Broad Walk, 6th Form Night Club, Also Founder of Soca VS Dancehall Dominica.
Thus, his fans and followers dubbed Djay Smoove 4EvaHype as “bringing a forever hyped energy to any event.”
